My car turns off a few seconds after starting?

Your friend, although trying to be helpful, is wrong. There are a number of things that could cause your Volkswagen to stall. IAC valve, vacuum leak, fuel pressure and more. A trusted garage will be able to diagnose the particular fault but not the internet and certainly not your eager but misguided friend.

The engine is not going " to spit out all the dirt inside the filters." That is just plain stupid.

So many so-called "Mechanics" are idiots.

Find a real mechanic. One that knows about "reading" Sparkplugs. Who knows to check for Fuel, Air, and Spark.

Check the sparkplugs

could be fuel pump or ignition coil,

Send it back to Hitler and let him fix it.

I have a 2006 VW Golf FSI 1.6/48000 miles on the clock

I recently had a problem with my car turning off immediately, I took it to a friend who is a mechanic and he did thorough clean whilst servicing the car. Yet the problem still persists (perhaps less frequently) he tells me that the filter is dirty and thus needs time to spit out all the dirt inside the filters.

I hope this is the case and not something more serious can you help me and tell me if it just needs a couple more miles

When i accelerate in parking, it seems to start running although it sometimes struggles so i need to accelerate more, also when i turn the ignition all the way the car starts fighting back to not turn off

Thanks in advance :)
