obviously, you trained your car wrong. Allowing your car to stop at a certain temp...when you should have scoled it, kicked it's azz, told the car to never do it again. sadly, you raised the car to be spoiled. How could you do such a thing? Many people could call social services for teaching your car to stall, stop, embarrassing other cars. Now, your car will be years behind other cars socially, emotiaonlly, and physically. Shame on you!!
More than likely you have a problem with your distributor pick up coil or your ignition coil, best way to check it is when your engine shut down get a spark plug, plug into 1 of your wire and get someone to crank the engine to see if you have spark. If there is no spark, then it either your distributor pick up coil or the ignition coil is bad
the car is a 96 chevy cavalier btw
everytime my car gets a certain temp it will stop running. and I'll have to wait for it to cool down before it runs again. it's not getting all the way to the H sign as if it's overheating. my fan works and I have coolant. so anyone knows what the problem may be?
