My car judders when I accelerate, as well as in reverse?

Start with the plugs, you are experiencing a misfire.

Take it to a garage. There is nothing you're going to be able to do yourself between now and tomorrow, it needs a diagnostic scan done on it.

BTW, don't attempt a long motorway journey in it, it'll cost you at best a tow truck home or at worst a new engine.

You do not seem to be able to fully diagnose the fault. If you could it may be possible to get the spares you need, maybe not though

Too late for a garage to be sorting it

even a non-novice should not guess @ diagnosis, at best that leads to wasted money & time; at worst, some damage.

so the only thing to do it have V dealer diagnose.

yes, they charge more, that's partly bc they know more.

should be seeing V dealer for almost all maint, including oil/filter change. in the US that includes a multipoint inspection.

The car is a 2009 Vauxhall Astra 1.8 SRi. It's MOT was fine last October and the mileage is 40000 approximately. However, I've started having a problem today where when I accelerate it seems to really judder when below 3000RPM. I'm not very handy when it comes to car mechanics but have looked on google answers and the different possibilities are ranging from potential loose spark plugs, dirt in the tank, fuel related (as its only when i accelerate), broken coil?

If anyone can maybe make a suggestion to what I can do to try correct this issue as really need my car to make a 2 hour motorway journey tomorrow it be very appreciated. Remember I'm rather a novice with car components please :)

Thanks in advance
