Could be a number of things , hopefully not the transmutation , but first check your motor mounts , that happened to me recently & ended up being a motor mount that went bad

tough. jerking could mean anything from low on transmission fluid to a possible engine related problem. best bet now for accurate answer bring it to a mechanic for road test. and estimate for repair on what he finds

what kind of jerking? side to side or vibration or hesitation...
