My car is still shaky after replacing brake pad and rotor?

Yep. If shaking happens only when you apply the brakes it's either your rotors warped, cut wrong, or brake pad lining has grooves in them.

If the shaking happens all the time just driving down the road coasting or driving with no brakes applied, it can be many things besides tires. Could be tie rod ends could be a control arm bushing could be something in steering linkage or a bad axel/cv joint bushing. . Usually a wobble means a bad spot in a tire though or a bubble from it smacking a curb. A fast shake on the highway usually means a tire balance but we would need more info from u exactly what it's doing at what speeds. Get it on a lift and have them check everything I mentioned.

Yes shops perform unneeded repairs. That's how they stay in business. Ripping off the consumer. Brake and transmission shops are known for this. Sounds like they repaired something not needed if its still doing what it was doing when you brought it in to begin with

If you bought it 3 months ago new then go to the dealership under warranty. If you bought it used then you will need to take it to the shop until it is fixed.

Take it to a 2nd tire and brake place and get another opinion. Have them test drive it and diagnose it.

Do places make you do unnecessary repairs to make extra business? Yes, they will usually make things sound worse than they are to get you to repair worn parts such as shocks, brakes, rotors, and tires early. I guess it can't hurt to have better condition parts but it gets costly. Some shops are honest though.

Is it happening only during braking? If so, go back to the shop and tell them to fix it.

Possible tires out of round, balance ,unevenly worn and/or worn ball joints creating this unknown problem.

Put your front tires on the rear and see what happens.

you may have a rotor or a spindle out of round have these checked first be fore you go any farther

I had noticed that my car was wobbly and shaky when I drove. I thought something was wrong with the tires at first. I went to the auto shop and had them fill the air in them.

After that, it was just as shaky. Then I took my car to other auto shop and had tire inspection. I was told that there was nothing wrong, but recommended brake inspection. So at the same shop, I had brake inspection. They told me the brake pad and the rotor needed to be replaced, so I had them do it.

After replacement, I still feel the shakiness and wonder if those really needed to replace...?

Do many auto shops perform unnecessary repair to make business?? What could be bad with my car?

My car is used Toyota rav4 and I bought it less than three months ago.
