My car is leaking an orange liquid into my car?

I have a 2003 dodge neon and this morning when I got to work I noticed orange liquid on my front floor mats I cleaned it all up and now have no idea what it could be ?

Its most likely the special orange coolant made for use in dodge vehicles. If its leaking on the passenger side floorboard, your heater core is leaking and will have to be replaced. When you get ready to leave for work, remove the radiator and see if the coolant level is low and check to make sure the coolant is orange in color. If both conditions are present, that's what's causing the leak.If you can do without a heater right now, remove both heater hoses at the firewall from the heater core tubes then find a short piece of U shaped copper, metal,or coolant resistant pipe and insert it between those two hoses then put a couple hose clamps on each hose. This will prevent coolant from entering the heater core, stopping the leak but like I said your heater won't work with it setup like this.It will prevent damage and mold from ruining your carpet until you can get the heater core replaced

Now Jessica.....how is it possible for you to "have no idea" what the liquid is. Be just a little logical: what liquids are present in a car? Rocket fuel? Blue Emu Oil? Coconut milk? Zombie juice?

Or are the possibilities limited to engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid or coolant? Now consider if is possible that the brakes, steering, transmission or engine could be leaking onto the floor mats.....nil. That leaves coolant. You heater gets its hat from the coolant. The heater is located in or under the dash panel. Don't you think there's a good chance that the heater is leaking?

Heater Core. Its behind the glove box. It brings heat and sometimes unfortunately coolant into the interior. Rarely does it happen with this new of car however. Fairly expensive fix because of labor. Take action soon, otherwise it will stain / stink up carpet.

check the coolant level. if that is low and you have fluid in the cab of the car, the heater core just might be the issue. not fun to deal with.

The heater core is leaking antifreeze!

must be a bad heater core, one time that happened to me, but not slowly, it just poured all over my feet while driving, hot antifreeze

add a can of bars leak to the radiator and drive it
