Sounds like the torque converter is not unlocking as it should. At speeds over 40 the torque converter locks up to improve fuel efficiency. It should unlock as you slow down. When it does not, the engine will stall and after you shift to park, the car can start as the transmission is not in gear, soon as you shift, it stalls again because the car is stopped and you have the brakes on and the torque converter can't "slip" as it is locked. The solenoid is probably getting stuck and after it cools off, it releases.

A little hard to diagnose this based on your writing, but it sounds to me that your car is running on too low revs when you let go of the throttle, and simply cant keep it self alive.

That is not a problem that can be easilly diagnosed, but some tests you can do is to open the cap to the airfilter and then start the engine. If it then don't die on you, you go and get a new filter for your car.

Another problem can be that the sparkplugs are worn out, and needs a change.

You could also change the wires between the distributor and the pluggs, since those also gets worn out some times.

If none of the above helps, you will have to contact a workshop to get it checked and fixed. But be careful, let him do a diagnose and get back to you, before you let him do any repairs, because this could cost you a lot of money.

What to heck does keeps during at stops mean?

Eye dunt now wat ur tacking abut.
