My 2002 bravada doesn't coast?

I just bought a used bravada . it was will maintained. but i notice when i drive and let go of the gas pedal it doesn't coast . I dont know if thats normal.

Your Bravada as a GM 4L60 transmission that was used in many GM makes and models - - not known for early failures . . . or exceptionally long life. We don't know how many miles are on your vehicle, or if the transmission has been services at the intervals GM recommends.

It sounds like it isn't making the last shift into final gear . . . . if it truly isn't, there's an internal failure that only a transmission shop or the deal can repair (and it will be expensive).

Are you sure the Overdrive is not disengaged? (I don't know if there is an OD position on your transmission selector - or a separate switch that turns the OD on and off - - - make sure you're in the correct range/OD isn't disengaged.

Try sliding the transmission into NEUTRAL when needing to stop on level highway. If the car still slows down excessively, please have your brakes checked ASAP at a Chevrolet Dealer. More than likely the previous owner never had the water-logged brake fluid changed and you have one or more brake calipers that are sticking.

Park it in the driveway or somewhere there's a slight slope. Does it roll in neutral? Then a brake is sticking.

How is fuel mileage? Does it pull to one side or another? Is the parking brake released? First impression is that a brake is dragging. 2nd is lock-up torque converter in transmission is not unlocking.

What do you mean it doesn't coast? Surely it doesn't just stop??

did you try turning it on and off again
