Men: I need your help! My car battery is low?

Since all cars have chimes, whistles, bells, dings, etc. to alert the driver that the lights are on, the doors are open, the keys are in the ignition, etc. how did you manage to leave the lights on? In my view, this scenario is questionable. As to the battery, anyone could get jumper cables to you. Instead of texting here, why are you not asking family or friends or strangers by you if they can give you a boost? Of course, positive to positive and negative to negative. Read the car manual first many get the cables connected incorrectly and end up with major electrical repairs. AAA can sign up for $35 or so and then come over the jump the battery. A tow is NOT required.

You live in LA? So do I!

Get Triple A out there to at least give you a jumpstart, or find someone in the lot who's willing and nice enough to jumpstart your car. I mean, that's the only option given the confines of your question.

Best thing would be to call a friend who has jumper cables and knows how to use them.

Most tow operators these days carry a "jumper pack": a big rechargeable battery with a handle and cables. If that's enough to jump start your car, you won't need to be towed.

What's the year, make and model of your car? If it's over four years old the alternator will not charge a battery with a dead, shorted out cell.

No, I'd say that the "easiest" thing is getting a friend to jump - not necessarily the "best". It's so easy to damage electronics these days.......if a friend does something wrong, are you gonna sue them.....or a shadetree mechanic. Just one example of why Triple-A is a bargain.

Most tow companies carry jumper cables just for these situations. Do you have any friends or neighboors that can help you?

Women: Why do you ask for gender equality?

because I left the lights on for too long and now it won't start. I want someone to jump-start it. Will the mechanic request that I get my car towed to his shop or are they willing to come over and jumpstart it? I don't have AAA so towing would be too expensive. I live in L.A.
