Its gonna cost 2k to fix the car is shaking pretty bad and engine light is on

Theres a guy offering 500$ is it worth it?

A '96 acura with the chk eng light on? The shaking says it's either just a miss fire or a vacuum leak. If you've got somebody already offering $500 for it he knows it's an easy quick fix. Exactly who said it was gonna cost $2K to fix it? Have a friend that knows a little about cars look at it, you'll get down to the truth of the matter

The CEL is on because it's shaking pretty bad. That's a misfire of some sort. Why would you think it'll cost 2k to fix?

Kelly Blue Book lists the value of the car in EXCELLENT condition at just under $2000. If it needs $2000 in repairs, that means you are basically selling it as scrap. Unless you want to sell off individual parts, I would say take any offer you can get.

The art of bargaining is a good thing to learn. Ask for more than you're willing to settle for. I would ask for at least $200 more, but that's just me. My first car was a 90 Ford Taurus, and I paid $850.

Grab the money and run unless you want to spend the 2 grand yourself

SELL!
