Knocking noise when i brake, started the day i got all new tires put on?

Take it to a good shop, have the stud replaced and ask the real mechanic to check out the knocking noise.

Are all the lug nuts and studs now firmly attached now?? If one of the tire rims is not firmly attached to the wheel it would cause the knocking noise you hear.

More than likely they did not torque your wheels when putting them back on or worse not telling you they snapped a stud removing your wheels.

Take it back to them and if they are reputable they should fix the problem. Make sure to have them check that every wheel they touched does not have egged out mounting holes.

Get the missing stud taken care of and the knock sound should go away. Guessing the movement of the brake rotor.

loose lug nuts?????

i noticed a knocking noise when i take my foot off the gas, or when i'm LIGHTLY braking.

i don't know if it's just a coincidence, but it started the night that i got my tires put on. i also noticed after i got home from the tire store, that i am missing a lug nut on my front drivers side wheel. they didn't even tell me! i took it back in and i am missing a stud also.

anyways, the knocking noise is my biggest issue. any ideas?
