Check the fan switch, after that there's a fan relay. You can check the fan switch with a test light, engine cool = light off , engine hot = light on, switch is good

Either the electrical fan switch is bad or the electric fan motors need to be replaced. A Honda Dealer can tell you which is causing the problem.

The fan switch that Barry is referring to is a thematically controlled switch that detects a certain cooling temperature and powers on the fan.

Obviously there is no electricity being applied to the cooling fan. Sounds like you need to quit wasting money on car parts and take it somewhere that can fix it.

Replace the fan relay- $15 part- plugs in. You already spent $100 on stuff that didn't need replacing.

There is an electronic temp sensor that controls the fan ,,, replace that .

Could be #12 or #13

The fan switch is suspect.

the canooter valve is most likely the problem just go to the parts store and ask if they will loan you one.

the cooling fan works if i hook it to the battery, the thermostat is brand new, but if I sit idle the engine will slowly overheat. once i begin moving , it will cool back down. any ideas on why the cooling fan doesnt come on?
