Is really good the Castrol GTX High Mileage motor oil?

I like Valvoline HM better

Hi, I have a 2008 ford focus with 82K miles. I would lik to know if thas oil is good or could I use another oil like mobil 1 full synth high mileage. But I have heard many bad comments for Mobil saying that oil is not very good for friction. What do you think? My car uses 5W-20 indicate in owner's manual.

I just happened to run into a petroleum engineer once. This is what he told me. Oil is basically oil. its the dirt that results /bi product of combustion that makes "any" oil dirty. Over time, that can wear on internal parts. That is why you change it. its like saying what kind of water is best in my fishtank. i don't care what kind you use-- water is basically water. after a month or two, that water will be dirty and you will want to change it because like a car, its a closed system with a pump that produces waste and needs to be flushed out. at the extremes of course a premium oil is better than a really cheap oil but in the middle area, most oils are oil. synthetics are great but pricey. I would think it to be better to change a cheaper regular mid grade oil more frequently. I know someone who did not do his first oil change for 70k miles. It was very dirty but guess what- it still ran fine so go figure.

NO. Castrol is owned by the BP (British Petroleum) oil spill company. No mater what the mileage is, if you have always changed the oil regularly all high mileage oil does is stop very small oil leaks! Mobil products are better than Castrol.

Most all of the bigger name brand engine oils will more then take care of your car engine. The specifications from the car manufacturers are quite tight. Plus, there aren't really many actual refineries left in the US, so many use the same base stock, then add to it.
