Is my fuel pump burned out?

Well first you have to be sure it's the fuel pump before you replace it. To do so, you would have to diagnose it, or have a mechanic diagnose it. You could use a fuel pressure gauge to do it, or an easier way would be to open the intake hose and spray some brake clean, or any other combustible liquid inside there. If the engine is running while your spraying it in, it's then probably the fuel pump. It could be something else maybe, I would have to see it for myself, but if this is the result you get after the test then it's probably the fuel pump. Again it could be a many things, like it could be the starter, I don't know (If it is the starter you would have to use a multimeter to check it. As for the price of installation I don't know. I have a program at work that lets me see the hours and time it will take to do a job like this, but off the top of my head I don't know. I've done plenty of jobs like this, and all of the prices vary, that's why I can't tell you. Some fuel pumps are mounted inside the fuel tank, and can be harder to get to. Other's can be externally mounted. Sometimes it's pretty hard to get to. But to not discourage you to much I've also done a job like this in about 10 minutes, so again it depends. By the way make sure the fuel pump you have/get corresponds to the one in your Integra. An older vehicle like that I would assume uses a mechanical fuel pump, but I could be wrong and it may use an electrical fuel pump, just make sure you have/get the right one.

instead of "thinking" it's the problem, properly diagnose the problem. Use a fuel pressure gauge and read the actual pressure. If it's not at spec, replace the pump.

As for price, call a mechanic shop for a quote if you can't replace it n your own. If you can, call an auto parts store for a price for the pump unit only.

Be aware, the price at the parts store is gonna be different than the shop. The shop will increase the price to cover the labor warranty.

If your not sure if it's the fuel pump and it inside the fuel tank , have someone try to start the car while you tap on the fuel tank. If it starts up its probably the pump.

There are fuses for the fuel system on your Acura that you'll need to check first. See the included wiring diagram below to check all of the related fuses first and do not forget to check the main relay. The following link will help to diagnose, repair the Main relay:

If you need more help E mail and I'll send more procedures or materials how to. I do have the factory service manual, if you need a copy. Give me your E mail address and I'll send it to you. HTH
