But no on the reserves. Everyone sort of figures it was a reserve since they keep driving but the light is just a reminder since we are not smart enough to look at the needle to see it cant go no further so the car manufactures installed a little light to see if it gets driver's attention since that pointed needle doesnt
It is not a Harley. You have one tank. My question is " A used fuel pump"?
Answer this: If your tank reads one quarter under (you mean over) why does it still have six gallons in it when the low fuel light comes on??
Changing a fuel pump and float is a pain in the butt. You get what you get when you put used parts in there.
Reserve light is generated by a contact point instead of slide resistor. I Ibelieve it works correctly. So fill the tank whenever it start blinking.
Not to mention that now - when it measures one-half - is it half full or half empty?
daft.
The fuel light is not correct. You can replace the pump again or track how many miles you drive before fill up.
I replaced my fuel pump with a used one and unfortunately the used one had a bad sending unit. So now my tank reads 1 quarter under.
When the reserve light turns on and I fill it all the way I can put in 8 gallons. My car holds 14 gallons.
My question is, when the light goes on, is it using reserved fuel or the remaining 6 gallons is incorrectly reading?
