That's what I do when I want to get something fixed.
If you have or friend or something that is mechanic ask the if it is worth it.
2004 is not that old, and if you trust the mechanic, it seems that for less than $1000 you will be running fine again.. Better than spending $10,000 for another car and then having to start making repairs. Fix it, and do not worry about the rust if it is only cosmetic.
I can't quite see the van from my vantage point and i don't think any other Y/A user can either. If the mechanic is trust worthy then ask him his opinion of putting money into the van in it's present condition. No one can honestly evaluate what they can't see..
good price is the van rust free - then fix it.
Fix the van if it is worth more than $1000.
Hey Everyone,
Im hoping you could help me because i dont know what to do. I have a 2004 dodge carvan and the back wheel started leaking brake fluid. I took it to the mechanic and he said it would cost 800$ to fix it because that wasn't the only problem as he said he has to replace some other stuff.. people say the mechanic is trustworthy but that's not the issue. is it worth fixing it ? or should i just buy another car ? The car is so rusty from the bottom and the exhaust makes a really loud noise when i drive it so i dont know if that's the only problem that van has. Please give me your advice.
Thank you
