Is it safe to burn a candle in a non moving car for heat...could crack window?

I mean we could crack the window from time to time let in fresh oxygen.... this would be a couple if tea light candles inside a metal pan with clay pots over the top ... as shone on u-tube as a heat source in your house in case of power outage.. I thought it would work in van in case of being stranded... I make an emergency kit every winter for car ... was told candles would provide enough heat to survive but of course there are blankets and hand warmers available too.... someone mentioned the candles would kill you so I wanted to find out....

you will lose more heat by opening a window than you'll gain with the candle. This is not safe

A candle gives off very little heat. Try a heavy jacket instead.

I doubt that a candle would crack the windshield I'd think there would be better and safer ways to stay warm. You'd need to take real care to make sure that the candle would not tip over while using it.

No, you will get very little heat from a candle and it will consume oxygen in the vehicle as well. Get a blanket!

no it will not crack the windows, just do not let the flame get to close to the window!
