The problem is that a lot of the head units when new come with the plugs that fit the back of the radio but no plugs on the other end. You do not say if you follow down further do you find 2 X 8 wire plugs, If so this is the ISO connection
One will have 8 thin wires this is for the speakers
The other will have
3 Thicker wires
Red Switched Positive
Yellow Permanent Positive
Black Earth (Negative)
2 or 3 Thinner ones
Normally
White Radio lights On/Off with car lights
Blue Electric Aerial Trigger
The main thing is to make sure the colours match across connection
If you go to Ebay you will find what you want by entering "ISO to (Make of new head unit) Adapter
Or you can Un-Twist the ones you have and get a friend to solder the new ones with heat shrink to cover the joints or get a couple of new connections and make up the plug together connections

Hi this is when you need the help and services of a car radio specialist they deal with problems like this all the time. so look on up in yellow pages.
Yea the factory wires are labeled and color coded. You just have to match them up with the wires to the new stereo and use crimp type connectors. Using the factory labeled wires, cross check with the new stereo diagram to make sure they match up.
too late for that . . .
So I have a 2007 Suzuki Swift, and I was wanting to change my head unit. We bought the car with an aftermarket one already in it, but when I took this out I found that instead of using a harness/adapter the person who put it in had just cut wires, twisted them together and taped over top. I was wondering if it was possible to fix this or if someone can do this as I would rather change head unit and just use an adapter than cut and twist like the previous owner did.
