Stpaulguy is right again. The 2002 Park Avenue uses Passkey III (see the first source) and the engine will not even crank without the key at least very near the ignition cylinder.

yes, just pry out the ignition switch with a tire tool and then just use a screwdriver to start it. Takes about 30 seconds.....

This car has antitheft. None of the answers so far are correct. There is no way to hot wire this vehicle. Period.

called "hot wiring" and will make the cops think you stole the car, also may still have problems with interlock switch unless you remove it, better to have a mechanic do that if you want to save the car for easy repair!
