Is it ok to use super unleaded gas in a unleaded only truck?

I have a 1994 gmc Sierra 1500 with a 5.7 350 cubic inch V8 and it says unleaded only so will it hurt it to use super unleaded?

Higher octane fuel will not cause the knock sensor to trigger ignition system retard. Possibly higher octane gas would give you better fuel economy on a long trip.

The higher the octane of the fuel the slower and cooler the fuel air mixture burns.

You can use 120 Octane race gas with a 300 shot of Nitrous and your truck will still love you longtime :D

Burning anything other than 87 octane in your none-high output engine would simply be a waste of cash. The higher octane gas would neither give you better performance or fuel economy. Zero benefit.

Unless you plan on taking it to the tip of Mt. Everest, there is no reason to buy anything over 87 octane. Anyways, no, it won't hurt anything, but it won't help either. Waste of money.

What CB said. All you need is unleaded.

No. Just a complete waste of money

The only thing it will hurt....is your wallet.
