COLD AIR intakes really DO work! The COOLER i\the incoming charge, the more POWER can be made! On many BENZ engines they run the FUEL LINE through the AC?COLD and CHILLED pipe to keep GAS CHILLED! DOes that answer your QUESTION! There should be FUEL LINE chillers for EVERY car as well as INCOMING AIR COOLERS! I tried to patent this idea, but BENZ already did it!
Advantages? Nothing - it will do little if any to improve your cars performance
Disadvantages - You will pay over $100 to make your car noisier without any real gain.
not really necessary unless you are going to be doing quite a few other mods.....best bang for your buck is a wet shot nitrous system....you will spend about 5 times more, but you will get REAL power you can feel...
What are the advantage and disadvantage of adding a cold air intake, i know water is bad but what else? Is it a bad idea to have a cold air intake in your car during winter where it snows a lot?
