Is it OK to put premixed with water 50 50 coolant in overflow and classic green in radiator and green?

I just did that. Hope it's OK. Stuff in overflow is light blue.

Cheapest way out of this is to goto the NAPA where you live and show them what you put where and see if you had something wrong.

I mention them because most folks have one in their town and they have what you need.

they can get HOAT coolant and give you the best fluid that will last the longest for your buck.

They can help you identify your stuff and what goes in it.

They wont charge for looking or advising.

Many of their people are or were technicians.

The plastic reservoir is normally like a catch can, it catches the excess when warm, and the cap allows it to be drawn back in while it cools.

The blue stuff should be windshield washer solvent in the other plastic tank.

Other cars have a remote reservoir with a pressure cap.

They can help identify what system and the best coolant, or the minimum requirement for good enough in case you change it often.

an antifreeze tester that has an expanding bulb for sampling is cheap and you can verify you have the right mixture before it gets too cold outside.

I dont doubt you do, but, the washer tank would have to be cleaned out and washer solvent that wont freeze should be in there.

Just realized they are both green. The only difference is that the stuff in the overflow premixed w water. One is polar and not sure the other brand

The light blue is the WINDSHIELD washer fluid. I wouldn't put ANTIFREEZE, green or any other color in THAT! It's slick and will make a terrible film on the window.

If you had listed the year, make and model car that you had dumped outdated green, high silicate antifreeze in we could have listed the exact type of antifreeze that SHOULD be in the cooling system.

What the hell are you talking about? "Classic green" means nothing.

If they are both ethylene glycol there will be no problem.

no problem....

I just did that. Hope it's OK. Stuff in overflow is light blue.
