Colors are strictly a matter of opinion . I think green is ugly but I have seen more than one green chopper win best in show .
I'll go one better ,,,, You tell me , is my dog's bike yellow , or orange . I ask because of just how subjective colors can be viewed .
To each their own. My sister used to have an ORANGE Mustang, only one like it in Cola SC, with a good balance of orange n black it can be a real perty car. Bet you'll never hear the ol excuse 'But officer I just didn't see him coming'
What counts is that you like it. A buddy of mine had a orange and black car we liked it because it was our high school colors. Even pink cars look OK. I wouldn't worry about your friend maybe he is jealous of your car and not just the color of it.

If it is painted the same way a race car is painted with all the decals then fine. If it is a solid plain colour that you do not like? Change it. It is your car you decide if you dislike it enough to pay to have it changed
