I was told that I can use Full Synthetic 5-30 motor oil for the C320 transmission.. It's that possible?

you mean, Mercedes C320? Good you asked, because that's not possible. 5W-30 motor oil must only be used to lubricate the engine.

Transmissions need transmission fluids. If your car has a conventional auto, you'll have to use Mercedes-approved ATF. For manuals (unlikely), gear oil that meets the manufacturer standards. And for those brand new dual-clutch transmissions, you will need a dual cluch oil (supply is much narrower). Read the user manual and/or the transmission filler cap.

Many oil companies make fluids that meet Mercedes standards, so you don't have to stick to the Mercedes dealership. In fact, since Mercedes is not an oil company, they actually purchase their lubricants from oil makers (usually, the cheapest supplier that is capable of meeting their monthly volumes). However, for dual-clutch gearboxes, fluids may be harder to find and the dealership could be a better (at least, faster) option.

Just stay clear of universal fluids.

Maybe the motor oil will work for a while, but I wouldn't trust it to not harm the seals. Damaged seals = need to rebuild the transmission. Do what Mercedes says do in the owner's manual.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Mobil1 does make full synthetic TRANSMISSION FLUID which has completely different additives than does synthetic motor oil.

NO! Only a moron would put engine oil in the transmission... You need to find a new mechanic ASAP!!!

some so say engine oil in a trans, check the book or call the dealer and ask. GM has done it for a while, so has Honda for ages.

I know and I told the mechanic!!! he told me it is the same as long as it is fully synthetic.. Sounds weird to me...

5W-30 isn't tranny oil. YOU are confused.
