It depends on how old the old windows are and what type of siding. If you have wood siding and wood trim around the window with old wooden windows then take the trim off outside and the whole window frame should just pull out. I dont have much to go on. Is your home brick, vinyl siding, are the old windows vinyl aluminum or wood?

Get some used bricks, and throw them accurately.

Removing the glass just takes a few swings of a hammer. Removing the framing is another question entirely.
