Apprentice to a HVAC Tech / Service company which provides in house training.
It is a good field to get into if you have the customer service skills to back up the technical ones.
First best answer to krazybob613. HVAC is a very technically complex field, almost as much as automotive technology itself is. You can get a good background from books in your public library but a good understanding takes some serious study. On a scale of 1-10 I am around a 2, but I know enough to take my real problems (and all dealings with a refigerant loop) to a professional.
