I pumped 62 dollars of gas and it took 150 out why?

Today I pumped gas at a chevron and I only put 62 dollars but it took 150 what's going on ?

It's not the station that has the hold, it's your bank. If you pay for gas at the pump most banks have an anti-theft program that puts 75.00, 100.00, or in your case 150.00 hold on your account. Usually the difference, 88.00 in your case, will be put back into your account within 24-48 hours Some of my customers call their bank and have it put back right after they pump the gas. Easier to just prepay in these days.

If your gas is burning too fast, then it means you are in need of change of spark plugs. The o2 sensor when and during inspection would fail emissions due to excess gas burning. So change your spark plugs.

Someone is trying to rip you off.

this is a issue that only you and the gas station can figure out

y ru asking us?

ask the person @ chevron!

I wonder if gas was about $2.42!

Proper phrasing of the question will get you a proper answer.
