There is a drain cycle between the completion of agitation and the start of the spin. If it's buzzing, there's something stuck in the pump, and my bet is a bra wire. You have ladies in the house?
On many Whirlpool models, the nut under the bottom of the tub works loose. The tub no longer spins and it no longer drains. The nut is under the tub, not in it.
Check the discharge pump filter for blockage if there is one. Other than that it sounds like the discharge pump is dying slowly.
Is that the V6 Petrol one or the 2.2 Diesel ?
It fills and agitates fine , but doesn't spin out the water and makes a buzzing/grinding sound when trying to spin out, checked belt that's fine
