I have an electrical wiring question?

Well the way you do it is this: In the box you will have a power or source wire and a ground wire. The ground wire will be green or bare copper wire, one wire of your light hooks to that. Next your power or source wire has to be located which may be the red wire or the black wire. A power sensor pin is the easiest way to locate the wire and then hook it up. Then your light will work.

Hooke it either way, as Mah Jen Boo said. If the fixture is metal, it is attached to the bare ground.

it don't matter. the light bulb is just acting as a resistor in the circuit. so there is no wrong way to hook up the light. that is why the wires are the same color.

If its anything complex other than replacing a wall switch for instance, I would let a qualified electrician handle it.
