grinding is bad. you have hard part broken and will require comple teardown. could be bushing on the front drum causing it to loos presure
try adjusting detent cable or passing gear cable re set it cable hook to throttle body and determine shifting
oh and at one point i grinded like it was stuck between gears
When was the last time you changed the trans fluid filter? Ever take a look at the vacuum line on the trans modulator? Check the linkage to the trans while down there.
and then when i came to a stop it was like it wouldnt come out of first so pulled over looked s vacum hose it was fine fluid was fine any ideas
