so it works with the hazards but not the actual turn signal.. the the most likely thing is the switch on the steering wheel is bad since the set up is solid I doubt it is the wiring unless you or someone else messed with it. besides that trace the problem back start with the plug and go back from there.. electrical stuff is ALWAYS a bit ch...
Check the relays, also maybe the signal stick itself isn't making a good connection or shorting out somewhere.
There are no "shorts" anywhere... otherwise, it would blow a fuse. Check the front sockets for good grounds.
