Definitely have a check up on your car. Explain what happened to the workers working on it too. If you drive with your emergency brakes on, it can heat the metal of the wheel. Which then it can burn your tire.
Have the LIGHT for the BRAKE being on,FIXED, Check brakes on rear, and have transmission fluid changed. Was real hard on it. Baby the car. No jack rabbit accelerations, just be EASY, Be easy on it and maintain it and it should be easy on wallet.
You need to have the rear brakes checked as there could be some damage/excessive wear and yes it could be dangerous - no way to know without it being inspected though. Impossible to tell by internet.
I very much doubt whether you've done any damage. Probably just taken a few miles off your brake pads or linings. Something everybody has done at some time, just carry on the cars not dangerous.

We've all driven with the emergency brake on at some time, and manufacturers are aware of this potential problem. Since it was only 5 minutes you won't have done any serious damage to the car, other than wearing down the brake pads a little faster than usual.
My parents just bought me a new car I was in a rush and forgot to take off the emrgency brake and drove with it for about 5 minutes . I did a lot of sharp turns with it on and heard a really loud scratching noice and smelt a burnt tire . Did I mess up the car ? What could be the worst that could happen ? What should I do ? Please help !!! Is the car dangerous to drive now ?
