I don't know how to change a car tire?

Sure, just about any automotive repair shop can do it for you. However, DO NOT DRIVE your vehicle with a flat tire, even for a short distance, it would ruin the tire and potentially the rim. If you already have a spare tire for your vehicle your safest bet would be to call a wrecker service or AAA. They service cost will be reasonable.

Ask a male neighbor to do it for you. You need to learn how to change a tire. Do what I did--get out in your own yard and do it a couple of times.

Not embarrassing at all. There are people who know how to change tires and would rather someone else do it instead because they are temporarily sick/disabled, don't want to get dirty, etc...

Go ahead and go to the tire shop and ask them to change it for you. Mechanics love to service ladies :)

The embarrassment isn't the problem. Your SAFETY is the problem. You could be injured or worse, if you don't know what you are doing. In this case, your embarrassment is keeping you safe. If you want to pay for the tire to be changed, go to a tire store. Hopefully you tire is holding air. If it's flat, DON'T drive on it. You can ask for some help at your local high school auto shop, if they have an auto shop. I'm glad you asked us. Don't ever do things that you don't understand.

When changing a tire, the car should be on a flat, LEVEL surface. It helps a lot if the surface is hard, like concrete or blacktop, as compared to dirt. The car could possibly roll, if you are taking a drive wheel off. Wheels need to be "blocked" in that case. The lifting device (jack) needs to be placed in a specific location. You have to break the lug nuts loose before you lift the tire off the ground. You have to know how to lift the tire, if its heavy, so you don't injure your back.

You could look on you tube, or ask a friend. If it can be driven (doesn't have a flat tire), a tire shop is the best bet but any repair shop could do it for around $ 5 to $10. Main thing is to never have a part of your body under the car while it's on a jack.

Everyone has a first time for everything, right!

Go to local auto repair or tire shop to get it changed, ask if you could watch, if they allow you to watch you can learn the process of changing a wheel & tire, cheers.

I don't know how to change a car tire. Can I take my car to an auto shop and ask them to change it for me? Isn't it embarrassing to do it?

I have the spare tire, just need to change it.
