I've done that before. About 10 times in fact. It might shift harder but other than that probably nothing. IF the hard shifting keeps going on and on get it flushed. About $100, I've had mine flushed 2 times from too much water.

Flush the tranny and filter. You may prevent a lot of problems down the road. Any transmission work is expensive, so if you can prevent mishaps, do it.

do what you want but if it was me i would just get a fluid and filter change ! flushing a transmission can cause a lot of trouble ! but it,s your car, not mine !

get it changed a.s.a.p. water will do internal damage over time if not done. find local shop at ATRA.COM for more help

I was in a hurry and accidentally added 2-3oz of distilled water to my transmission fluid instead of my coolant.

Is it ok to drive it or should I get it flushed.

I have a 2002 e46.

I soaked the top of it out with a tissue right after I realized my mistake
