Adding too much refrigerant is just as bad as undercharging. On newer cars you only have a 1-oz window. Do the diagnostic tests in this articles to nail down the cause of your AC problem

A/c systems on cars all leak a little bit out of the compressor seals. Get a do it yourself can of r134a+oil etc with the gauge and hose on the can, and add some refrigerant, don't overfill the system though that will not help.
It should not be problem on only 4 year old toyota . Not sure if possible in toyota but one summer I left heating on and turned on AC in mercury and figured it out 2 hours later .Maybe you left knob in heat position as well .
Have you professionally had your freeon in your air conditioner
That's my first guess could be wrong.Also, there could be another component in your air conditioner
that needs to be addressed.
Tell your mechanic to check those two important air conditioner might be all you need to have worked
on or replaced.
In closing: Let your mechanic do some checking your air conditioner. I hope for your sake that
wold cost an arm
and a leg to get your air conditioner correctly working.
My A.C. takes a wail to get cold and even then its not that cold even on max A.C. any way I can make it colder? I see some A.C. thing that says it will make it 5 times colder does that really work?
