If the rubber weather strips are ok, then you need to adjust the striker on the door jamb, or even get a new latch.
EDIT:
Adjust Striker
You may have to start by adjusting the hinges. If the door is sagging, it won't do any good to try and adjust the latch in the wrong place. Once the door is closing in the right place, THEN adjust the latch so it closes. If any rubber is hanging down, you need to get that taken car of first.
Adjust the striker plate. Takes less than 10 minutes. It may also need new hinge pins. They are cheap at the dealer or AZ.
I would recommend taking it to the shop. I don't know how to fix vehicles.
So its a 1992 chevy truck and Im tired of slaming the door for it to shut and it doesnt sound good at all when I close it. I have to shut it firmly or it wont close all the way. Is there any way to make it close like a new truck? Where would I find the parts to do it? Please and thank ya
