if stock lifters , 0 clearance and 3/4 of a turn slowly. need more info id different cam an lifters

Loosen adjusting bolt until noisy.Then slowly tighten until noise is gone.

Then slowly tighten 3/4 turn.Repeat on each lifter.Do not rush.

Been there.

1/4 turn past zero lash...3/4 turn is excessively pre loading the lifter.
