It's said that the reccomended or average amount of lessons a learner with no experience needs is around 50. It can be done in far less, but as said it depends on how quickly you pick driving up.
I did everything theory , pratical , driving lessons in total of 9 weeks , could have done in 7 weeks if wasn't for xmas holidays. Depends on which area you live. In my area you can get a theory test booking in a week and there are 3 practical centers within 15 mile radius. I learnt automatic and did a total of 45 lessons - 20 with my instructor and 25 in my own car with my husband.
Hi manual or automatic it makes very little difference really.
Depends how quick you pick driving up driving, there is much more to it than what you have already learnt. You also need to remember even if you apply for your test now it may be longer than six weeks before it comes through.
If you apply for a theory test today then you might get to do one in 2 to 4 weeks time
Until you pass the theory you cannot beek the practical test
When you book the practical test you will get a test date 4 to 8 weeks from then.
Assuming you pass everything first time the practical minimu it will take you is 2 months and 3 is more likely.
SIX WEEKS JUST NOT POSSIBLE FROM WHERE YOU ARE NOW
Get your permit and drive. The only way to learn is to practice, practice, practice. Get a driving handbook and learn the rules of the road in your state/country.
On your driving test, you'll will demonstrate passing, changing lanes, turning, turn-about, parallel parking, maintaining speed limits, braking, and safe distance from other vehicles.
I had 5 lessons a couple of weeks ago in automatic and only learnt how to basic drive and reverse into a parking bay and drive into a parking bay (no cars either side) my son starts nursery in 6 weeks and i really want to pass before then so it is easier to drop him and pick him up and for me to go to college/work. Is this possible? How many hours driving should i be doing a week also have not done theory yet can anyone recommend any good practice ways?
