U will be making a awful decision if U have the color changed. The resale value will plummet like a rock because of it. Its way more involved than most people think, the entire car has to come completely apart and I mean everything as in hood, doors, bumpers all trim, glass, and tons of other parts. To do a color change will probably be in the $4000 to $6000 to have it done correctly.

Don't paint it. Keep it as it is until someone hits your car or you *** it up. At that time you have to spend cash anyway so get it the way you like then. By sanding down if you mean back to bare metal then you can forget it as no shops will even take on resprays at this scale; as for the respray you would be looking at a minimum of ￡2000 (i live in the u.k) and that would just be for the outer of the vehicle, if you include apertures, door jam, engine bay etc. youre looking upwards of ￡7000. In my experince, no finish is better that factories'. If like you say, youre getting a deal on this vehicle, id sell it and spend the money towards the vehicle you prefer
