Get an 8 Ball , drill a hole 1/2 way through , fill it with JB Weld and stuff it on .
That's way more cool than any factory shift handle .
sounds like you need to replace the shift lever, and that could be difficult. Look up the procedure, but I would bet a full set of tools and some time is involved
go to pick & pull by a used one, second why is he not fix in it you know you can do it
My stupid husband got drunk and manhandled my gear shift one night. He broke the knob off completely, stripping the screws and breaking the mechanism. The transmission stil shifts with no problems I just have to use a bobby pin to ouch down the broken white plastic "straw" that unlocks the shifter. I can easily shift between neutral and drive options however reversing and park I put effort into avoiding. Ugh! He really needs to learn to fix what he breaks!
