Driving it with the brake on will NOT damage it for that distance. It might ad a little wear over time. It is designed to stop the car at speed in an emergency.
It more sounds like you father trod on it hard. There is usually a release lever to take it off. Have a quick read of the handbook.
When you try to pull the release press the pedal at the same time and as the release moves release the pedal.
.
Drive the car and try to release the brake at the same time, forward and reverse. Around the block won't hurt anything.
Is it the disc or pad but it should be around 300-450 each
LOL. Its not jammed, you just need to push it further to release it. Its push on, push off.
My mom wanted to change parking spaces of my dad's Honda Pilot 2006 and the parking space are like right next to each other and she did it without pulling the brake of the car. The brake is next to the accelerator and stuff and has to be done with foot and not hand but she forgot to do it and drove the car for like 1 minute and now the break is like jammed. It won't pull up it's like completely jammed we tried but it won't work. She's literally crying her eyes out since it's my dad's car so I was wondering what she can do. If she has to pay for a mechanic how much can the job be done for because I am going to pay for it so she doesn't have to deal with it. Thanks!
