How much to make a broken car key?

It really depends. Prices for car key replacement ranges from $50-$200 (sometimes upwards of up to $300-$600) depending on the following factors: your area, the make and model of the car, the type of key, and your chosen locksmith. What you could do is either search online or on the yellow pages for a local one and call them up for a quote. Companies like atlantalockmaster.com for example, give a guaranteed price so customers won't be surprised later on.

Also, it's very possible to let the locksmith come to you instead of the other way around. Look for the following things when checking on a locksmith: their company name, a guaranteed quote, their main office location, and an available website.

You can contact a locksmith to get the quote. And while doing so remember to call a reputed locksmith company only.

The "Key" to the whole thing is getting it out of the lock, a locksmith or dealer will simply give you a new key. You might have to remove the whole lock by taking the inside panel of the door off assuming you can get in the car, ( You didn't mention that) How do you plan on getting the key out?

I can get into the car, only because the key is broken inside. By using the other half it allows me to turn the lock so it opens... im figuring I could try getting it out by using tweezers or very thin pliers.

I have a 1998 infiniti i30, and the key to unlock the door snapped inside the lock. So I half the key is in the lock and other half on my keychain. If I were to get the half out of the car door, and bring both halves to a locksmith, about how much would that cost?
