Go on and pay if the guy guarantees the work. You'd pay 3 times that at the Mercedes dealer to get it done right. Well, you might have to pay again to get it done over ...right.
I would say no because Mercedes generally cost a lot more to work on because of the tools and the mechanic has to be certified through Mercedes. I believe most mechanics get paid around $80 per hour.
I think I would charge even more.
Sounds like you're clueless about brakes. So, best to have someone else do it.

I bought four pads and two rear discs. And my mechanic wants 100 dollars to put them in. Is this too much for assembly? Because I paid 150 dollars for the pads and discs.
