The fuel pump on that truck is inside the fuel tank and is sold as an assembly called a fuel pump module which consists of the pump, the fuel level unit and the strainer assy.....average cost is about $250.00 and I would expect to pay a tech about 3 hours labor to change it.
now you can buy just the pump from the aftermarket, and re use the module and level unit from the old assy, but its not the recommended way to replace it..
Joseph is smack on about cost. Any mechanic will give you a free estimate and tell you the exact price of parts and labor. Just be sure you actually need a fuel pump. $450 sounds close enough.
the part is 29.95 it takes 30 minutes to install id suggest 75.00 tops parts and labor
around 60 bucks.
