Just my opinion but that yr of vehicle should also have the idler pulley & tentioner replaced too. Especially over 100,000 miles. Always use Gates Belts.
It's not that hard to change one of those belt's
IT SHOULD BE A WORM DRIVE TYPE OF TENSIONER. TIGHTENING THAT UP MAY DEAL WITH THE ISSUE BUT IF THE BELT IS GLAZED, ID REPLACE IT.
if the belt is loose and slipping , tighten it up. if it seems tight enough buy a can of spray belt dressing and spray it good..
I am guessing at around $100.00
yes it is a pretty easy DIY job.
Hello, when I start my car in the mornings there's a belt that squeaks really bad for some seconds, I haven't had any kind of problems so don't know what belt it would be but wondering before I go to get it fixed about how much that would cost or is it an easy fix to do myself? It's a 2002 Nissan Maxima, thank you!
