Need or want? The car will start with a new battery of 500 amps! The higher amps are for all the additional equipment a car has. High end radios, clocks, heater/ A/C climate control, heated seats and power seats all make the need for the amps. If the battery seams a issue for the car we should be checking for both alternator output to the battery and condition of the cables from battery to the starter. Corrosion kills battery from receiving from the alternator correctly.

They will have the correct AC-Delco Professional Battery for the car PLUS a longer free replacement warranty than any Auto Zone, NAPA or Advance Auto Battery.

The bigger the better. I would recommend at least 800 CCA.
