How many Cranking amps do you need in a battery for a 95 cadillac seville sts with a northstar v8 engine?

The battery is NOT an interior mount on the 95' Seville!

It's located under the right (passenger side) headlight cover!

800 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) is the specification!

Need or want? The car will start with a new battery of 500 amps! The higher amps are for all the additional equipment a car has. High end radios, clocks, heater/ A/C climate control, heated seats and power seats all make the need for the amps. If the battery seams a issue for the car we should be checking for both alternator output to the battery and condition of the cables from battery to the starter. Corrosion kills battery from receiving from the alternator correctly.

Auto Zone, Advance Auto An NAPA do not offer the correct internal mounted vented batteries for a 95 Cadillac! Crack your phone book and find an AC-Delco distributor or parts dealer. They will have the correct AC-Delco Professional Battery for the car PLUS a longer free replacement warranty than any Auto Zone, NAPA or Advance Auto Battery.

My 04 Deville w/ northstar uses 1,000 amp, located under rear seat.

Yes, 800 CCA would be the minimum.

The most you can get. 800+ Get the largest battery that'll fit in the battery tray.

Go to autozone, advance auto, or napa and find out the exact battery needed.

The bigger the better. I would recommend at least 800 CCA.

I would say about 850 CCA.
