How long should it take to replace 2 brake lines in a truck?

I do wonder why it feels normal or acceptable to ask here, invisible strangers, as to this mechanical work. We have no clue if this was an emergency break down, essentially a "surprise." We have no clue if this is a remote area or city. We have no clue as to the size of the shop and how busy they are. One of the most difficult things to do is to guess and that renders zero value. If parts are an issue, if delivery is an issue, if a mechanic is an issue, you needed to know. I had a breakdown of a coolant pump on my 2008 Mercury Mariner hybrid. I go to a Ford dealership who ordered the pump that was supposed to be delivered the next day with a two hour repair. The part got lost or something. We ended up renting a car and returning five days later to retrieve the vehicle. We were visiting family. But not asking directly to the shop and to strangers is very odd to me. It indicates a super preference to texting and not to logical thinking. If you do not call the shop, who is to know? What car you do? What an odd thing to ask about car repairs. If you find out they are not doing much and you have an alternate shop to use, have the vehicle towed to that shop. Very odd.

it depends on how long the brake lines are ! usually it don,t take no 2 days unless they are working on other people,s cars besides yours all the time ! why don,t you call them and see how much longer it,s going to take !

depends if the lines are already bent and ready to install or if they are bending them themselves but 2 days is too long

It also depends if the part came in. Sometimes the deliveries can be late

it may only take five hours but your truck isn't the only one in the shop. Have you called them?

I am currently getting 2 brake lines replaced in my 2001 GMC Sierra full size truck. I was told by a few people that it should only take about 5 hours. They have had my truck for 2 days is this normal? If not what can I do?
