How long do you think the "Air bag" light will last before it burns out?

That bulb will last forever! I have to wonder why you don't care if your airbag system doesn't work! The air bag system does a self check everytime you start your vehicle and the light will go out as soon as you fix the problem.

15 to 20 years

It can last as long as the car. It's LED, like your alarm clock. They don't burn out. Cover it with a piece of duct tape or color over it with a sharpee. I feel your pain.

As others stated, it could outlast your car. It could be just a simple sensor glitch in the seat. My last car had it and spraying electrical component cleaner and duster into the seat belt buckle fixed it. It could save your life fixing it. Or at least find out what is wrong with it and the cost.

Having a malfunctioning airbag also seriously depreciates the value of the car.

It can last for YEARS. On a 2007 it is very possible that it is an LED, and won't burn out for another 100,000 hours. Your car won't even last that long.

I had a check engine light that burned out once, it took about 12 years!! yea, I had that truck for a long time

Have you ever considered getting the problem FIXED?????

You might need that air bag one day, or is it your plan to sue when the bag doesn't work?

(Ignoring the light is SOOOO redneck)

My sister had hers own for probably 8 years or more she was told to put tape over it

There is no telling... 10 years or 10 days...

Just put duct tape over it.

Our 2007 Hyundai Sonata "Air Bag" light has been on for over 4 months. How long will it take before the damn thing burns out? I'm tired of staring at that red light while I drive at night. It's just a bulb it can't last forever right?

tape it or fix it
