How long before fuel goes bad in your car?

Not a problem. I bought a car that sat for more than a year and the gas was good. In olden days fuel systems were not sealed and the lighter components would evaporate. All modern cars have sealed systems that effectively eliminate evaporation. The grade does not matter but all gasoline used in your Toyota should be top tier brands. Toyota was one of the four founding members of the top tier consortium, and one most affected by random gasoline. Fill the tank with any of the brands in the source and you will find it running great when you return. If you use top tier brands regularly you don't need band-aids like fuel injector cleaners. Toyota does not recommend any fuel or oil additives.

I'd add a gas treatment like Stabil or Seafoam to the fuel tank per label directions...usually 1 ounce of product per gallon of gas... and run the engine for 5 minutes or so to get the additive throughout the fuel system. Gas can go stale and varnishy in a matter of a couple months but not as bad as several months....premium gas does not matter as it can go stale as well. Better to play it safe and Seafoam will also help clean fuel injectors which should be done on a regular basis anyway.

I'd also cover the car, raise the car to get the tires off the ground and set on blocks under suspension areas or jacking points/rocker panels if possible to avoid flat spotting the tires from sitting in one spot for a long period which can lead to annoying thumping noises when you drive the car again and may reduce tire longevity. And use a low amp trickle charger to keep the battery from going dead over time due to slight parasitic loads from the computer and radio. Letting the battery go completely dead or drained down shortens it's lifespan and some radios can go into lock mode...unable to operate without inputting a special code... if they do not receive enough battery power from a dead battery or are disconnected as an anti-theft feature. Make sure you know the unlock code for the radio if so equipped. Trickle chargers or "battery maintainers" are sold at various parts stores, home centers and RV dealers ...run around 10-30.00 or so for models that put out around 1-2 amps...make sure to buy one that self regulates charging or it can overcharge/boil water/electrolyte out of the battery over time.

Put it In a garage, put a car cover on it. The End

It's 2 months, not 6. You don't have to all type of ridiculous stuff, trust me. Give it a wax because it'll get real rusty. Getting the car wax will make it less likely for the car to gain rust

two months is NOTHING,...park it,...cover it........... ( if you want ).......forget it,...........worst that could happen is the battery go flat,...if its weak

I will be away for 2 months and my 2010 Camry LE will be stored for this period. How long before the fuel goes bad in my car -- will storing the car with premium fuel be better than regular? Any other tips for storing car for 2 months?
