How do I find out when my car will need a new timing belt?

I have a mk5 vauxhall Astra 1.8 litre automatic transmission. The belt was last changed at 37000 miles.

Thanks

The problem with timing belts is that they often don't show any signs of wear and don't give any indication when they're about to go.

I suggest sticking with the belt replacement schedule outlined by Vauxhall.

Ask a Vauxhall dealer. Most run much farther than 37000 miles.

One needs to check the specific "MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE" for the vehicle in question.

EXAMPLE......try a search for

maintenece schedule for a 1995 Belchfire!

look at the maintenance schedule for that vehicle.
