The problem with timing belts is that they often don't show any signs of wear and don't give any indication when they're about to go.
I suggest sticking with the belt replacement schedule outlined by Vauxhall.
Ask a Vauxhall dealer. Most run much farther than 37000 miles.
One needs to check the specific "MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE" for the vehicle in question.
EXAMPLE......try a search for
maintenece schedule for a 1995 Belchfire!
look at the maintenance schedule for that vehicle.
